The Moscow Arbitration did not remove the Bashneft shares upon the application of the Sistema Corporation shareholder, RIA Novosti reports. The judge recommended that the applicant apply to a second statement on December 8, that is, when the past decision of the arbitration on the transfer of shares to the state enters into force.
The agency is quoted by a source close to AFK Sistema, which explained that by his statement to withdraw the arrest, "the company wanted to recall that the shares are under arrest, which must be removed to transfer shares in favor of the state." Thus, the source notes, the “system” seeks to show readiness to voluntarily fulfill the court decision on the transfer of shares to the state.
The company also asked the court to ban the current Bashneft shares - OJSC Register - to ban any actions with these securities, except for their transfer to the state.
On September 26, the Moscow Arbitration, on the statement of the Prosecutor General’s Office, arrested the ordinary and privileged shares of Bashneft, owned by AFK Sistema and its subsidiary system-Invest. In total, under the arrest, 74 percent of the shares of the oil company were arrested. And at the end of October, the Arbitration Court granted the lawsuit of the Prosecutor General’s Office to deprive Bashneft, which provided more than half of the cash flow of the “system”.
The criminal case on the illegal sale of shares of the Bashneft oil company was opened in April 2014. Vladimir Yevtushenkov is accused under Article 174 of the Criminal Code "Legalization (laundering) of funds". Since September 16, 2014, the businessman has been under house arrest.
