Github communicates from around the world. They post the software code, documentation, monitor errors, collect user reviews on millions of projects. Due to the importance of the resource, the HTTPS encryption protocol is used there. Thus, it is impossible to block part of the hosting. Therefore, it was completely blocked in Russia.
“Somewhere among millions of projects there were files, it seems like with descriptions of suicide methods. As you know, among many tens of thousands of daily uploaded files, it is impossible to accidentally look for these - so, most likely, the same one who posted the files themselves submitted the application,” writes one of the users, programmer Yuri Mironenko.
