The Moscow City Court partially canceled the decision of a lower court, according to which the opposition leader Alexei Navalny had to apologize to the Vice-Mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov and pay him 600 thousand rubles. At a closed hearing on December 4, the court decided that Navalny did not need to apologize to the official, but he still had to give him the money and publish a refutation of his statements.
Nevertheless, according to the court decision, he is still obliged to refute the information presented in his publication. The meeting was held behind closed doors to avoid publicizing data on the official's family life.
