Audi plan to release a competitor Tesla

As the chief executive director Rupert Stadler told reporters, the company's engineers are already working on an electric car, which will meet the American zero output standard. "Most likely, it will be a crossover, although development is still being conducted," he said.

Thus, Audi wants to release a model that competes with the popular models of the American company Tesla, which belongs to billionaire-innovator Elon Mask. Recall that in 2015, Tesla will release its first Model X crossover, equipped with two electricians with a total capacity of 700 horsepower. Tesla also told her customers that Model X will receive good towing opportunities. As an option for him, it will be possible to order a towbar and trunk on the roof, which, most likely, excludes the possibility of appearing on the serial version of the rear door of the “Seagull wings” type shown on the concept.

The company plan to start the production of a crossover already in 2015. The starting cost of the electric car will be 50-60 thousand dollars.
