2014 may become the warmest for all the time of meteorological observations. This was stated by representatives of the World Meteorological Organization during the conference on the climate change that took place in Lima. It is noted that in January-October of this year, the air temperature on the planet was 0.57 degrees Celsius above average indicators for this period. The same thing was recorded in 2010, which is also considered one of the warm ones.
The Secretary General of the organization Michelle Jarro said that 14 out of the 15 warmer years during all the time of observation were recorded by meteorologists in the 21st century. According to him, the process of global warming continues continuously.
According to the agency, this year, the increase in water temperature in the oceans caused heavy rains, floods and droughts around the world.
