Applicants for support for the "Wednesday" Foundation were announced

The expert council of the Russian Media Support Fund was determined by the short list of publications applying for financial support from the Fund in 2014.

The expert council of the Foundation includes media professionals, shareholders, employees, functionaries, officials, teachers, public activists sharing the mission of the fund and the principles of responsible journalism.

Short list of the Wednesday fund:

Acceptance of applications for financial support of the Wednesday fund was opened in August. For three months, 170 applications from applicants were received to the fund's website.

Now members of the Council of the Fund will have an open discussion to choose three winners. The total amount of financial support for the applicants of 2014 was approved by the Council of the Fund in the amount of 50 million rubles.

Non -state media that are reliable in its work on market principles, comply with the laws of the Russian Federation and strive for the transparency of their commercial activity, can apply for support for the Wednesday of the Wednesday.

In addition, the applicant should not use his reputation, his authority, as well as his professional rights and opportunities for the dissemination of advertising or other commercial information, to systematically call or somehow contribute to the restriction of civil rights by any characteristics.

The editions of the media claiming to receive support of the Wednesday fund should be imprisoned in the submission of facts and news messages and disseminate only the information, the accuracy of which can be determined, the source of which is known.
