In Vinnitsa, protesters against the resignation of the head of the regional council attempted to storm the building of the regional state administration, UNIAN reports.
The protest rally began before the meeting of the regional council, at which the deputies were going to vote for the resignation of his chairman Sergei Svitko. The Maidan previously nominated the candidacy of Svitko. The order, according to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, was supported by the police and fighters of the Vinnitsa special battalion, who returned from the zone of power operation in eastern Ukraine.
Activists burned the scarecrow on which they wrote the name of the governor Anatoly Oleinik. After that, they began to throw smoke bombs into the building, notes the Vinnitsa publication. Yifno. Some deputies left the session hall.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the seven police officers were hospitalized with gas and gas poisoning, one of the rally participants applied for medical care. In total, about 600 activists gathered near the OGA building, which was guarded by about 200 police officers. They held Ukrainian flags and flags of the Freedom party, threw eggs, stones and explosives into the police.
The protesters broke the windows and threw eggs of the office with eggs, which is located opposite the administration building, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said. Four participants in the rally were delivered to the city police department. After the identity and testimony, they were released.
It is also noted that the activists broke through the cordon and brought the garbage tank for “lustration” to Olenik’s office in the OGA building (even before the adoption of the law on lustration in the country, they began to put officials and deputies into garbage tanks, speaking under the slogans of purification of power).
The issue of depriving the sweatshirts of powers was not considered, since there were not enough deputies for the introduction of this item on the agenda on Saturday. After the vote, the meeting was closed.
