In any case, the scale of this case is not at all comparable to its status. Because the Investigative Committee at the Live Kadyrov and the FORBES of all of our members of the Forbes list from the government is engaged in books in parks and the interrogations of Rubinstein. The reputation of the UK is such that we can have no doubt that the legs are growing somewhere in the political direction, ”Viktor Shenderovich is sure.

Leo Rubinstein told Radio Liberty details of his visit to the Investigative Committee:

They, apparently, invite those who took part in these festivals, which were called "Books in the Park." When I received the agenda, I did not immediately remember what it was about. The investigator asked if I want to testify, or on the basis of Article 51 of the Constitution, I refuse to give them. My lawyer and I nodded and refused. After that, the investigator filled the necessary papers, we signed in two places and left.

As for these festivals, I remember them vaguely, because I perform in different places quite often. I remember that he performed there, it was quite interesting. And that's it. For me, a riddle why they are trying to attract people who came to this event, performed and left. Honestly, it seemed to me that the investigator also understands this. I have nothing to hide, I did not receive any fees there. But I decided to refuse to testify, because I know that any answer, even the most truthful, can be interpreted in such a way that it will be harmful to someone. I don’t want this, because I suspect that this is a politically motivated matter, ”says Lev Rubinstein .

In the questionnaire, explaining the reason for his appeal, Ashurkov explained that he "participated in opposition political activities for many years" and that in Russia he was waiting for "arrest, content in inhuman conditions, torture and an unfair court." Together with Ashurkov, his newborn son and civil wife with his daughter from his first marriage are in the UK. According to Izvestia, the opposition and his family issued registration cards that give the right to live in England until a decision is made to provide or refuse political asylum.

Together with Ashurkov, in the case of the theft of funds for the election campaign of Navalny, other supporters of the opposition - Konstantin Yankauskas and Nikolai Lyaskin also take place. According to investigators, they assigned several million rubles that the Internet users transferred Navalny. Konstantin Yankauskas is placed under house arrest, Nikolai Lyaskin is under the recognizance not to leave. Vladimir Ashurkov on July 30 was put on the wanted list.
