Viktor Shenderovich and Leo Rubinstein are called to investigators
Viktor Shenderovich and Lev Rubinstein reported on their pages on their pages on the Facebook social network.
Viktor Shenderovich wrote that he was called "a polite young man from the Investigative Committee and called to visit." He did not receive any official documents from the bodies, Shenderovich said in an interview with Radio Liberty:

- I did not receive any summons, I received the agenda, Rubinstein. They called me, asked to come. We are talking about the action of the "Book in the Parks" in which we both participated. It should be noted that dozens of people participated in this, and for the interrogation they called us. Where the legs grow and what abomination the Investigative Committee started, I do not know. But in the near future, apparently, we will find out. The investigator told me on the phone that we are talking about the investigation of the theft of funds by managers of the "Book in Parks" projects. What funds are there, I don't know. In any case, the scale of this case is not at all comparable to its status. Because the Investigative Committee at the Live Kadyrov and the FORBES of all of our members of the Forbes list from the government is engaged in books in parks and the interrogations of Rubinstein. The reputation of the UK is such that we can have no doubt that the legs are growing somewhere in the political direction, ”Viktor Shenderovich is sure.
Leo Rubinstein told Radio Liberty details of his visit to the Investigative Committee:

- The investigator was very kind. I understand that we are talking about some in the wrong way to organize certain festivals of two or three years ago. They, apparently, invite those who took part in these festivals, which were called "Books in the Park." When I received the agenda, I did not immediately remember what it was about. The investigator asked if I want to testify, or on the basis of Article 51 of the Constitution, I refuse to give them. My lawyer and I nodded and refused. After that, the investigator filled the necessary papers, we signed in two places and left.
As for these festivals, I remember them vaguely, because I perform in different places quite often. I remember that he performed there, it was quite interesting. And that's it. For me, a riddle why they are trying to attract people who came to this event, performed and left. Honestly, it seemed to me that the investigator also understands this. I have nothing to hide, I did not receive any fees there. But I decided to refuse to testify, because I know that any answer, even the most truthful, can be interpreted in such a way that it will be harmful to someone. I don’t want this, because I suspect that this is a politically motivated matter, ”says Lev Rubinstein .
The Medusa information resource suggests that the call of Shenderovich and Rubinstein to the Investigative Committee may also be associated with the criminal case, instituted against the head of the Corruption of the Corruption of Vladimir Ashurkov. He is accused of embezzlement of funds raised for the election campaign of the former candidate of Moscow, oppositionist Alexei Navalny.

0:00 0:02:23The fact is that the civil wife of Ashurkov Alexandrina Markvo heads the creative production agency "Bureau 17", which was one of the organizers of the "Book in the Parks" campaign. It is curious that when trying to get to the official page of Bureau-17 on the Internet-Buro17.com-the browser is redirected to the website of the hosting provider, that is, the pages of the production agency does not actually exist. However, there is an account "Bureau 17" on the social network "VKontakte", but the last message on this page is dated 2011.
Be that as it may, Viktor Shenderovich in an interview with Radio Liberty said that he considers a rather plausible version of the Medusa site about the connection of the interest of the UK to the “Books in Parks” with the case of Vladimir Ashurkov.
In October, it became known that Ashurkov asked for political asylum in the UK. The opposition wrote about this on his Twitter. He explained his decision "political persecution by the authorities of the Russian Federation." Ashurkov refused further comments. According to the Izvestia newspaper, the opposition applied for the provision of political asylum back in July this year. In the questionnaire, explaining the reason for his appeal, Ashurkov explained that he "participated in opposition political activities for many years" and that in Russia he was waiting for "arrest, content in inhuman conditions, torture and an unfair court." Together with Ashurkov, his newborn son and civil wife with his daughter from his first marriage are in the UK. According to Izvestia, the opposition and his family issued registration cards that give the right to live in England until a decision is made to provide or refuse political asylum.
Together with Ashurkov, in the case of the theft of funds for the election campaign of Navalny, other supporters of the opposition - Konstantin Yankauskas and Nikolai Lyaskin also take place. According to investigators, they assigned several million rubles that the Internet users transferred Navalny. Konstantin Yankauskas is placed under house arrest, Nikolai Lyaskin is under the recognizance not to leave. Vladimir Ashurkov on July 30 was put on the wanted list.
