
The laureate of the Prize of the Moscow Helsinsky Group in the nomination "For protecting human rights by means of culture and art" was the leader of the Time Machine Group Andrei Makarevich.
Among other laureates of this year, the deputy of the Pskov city legislative assembly Lev Shlosberg , Deputy Chief Editor of the Moscow Komsomolets, Auder Mudsabaev , chairman of the Civil Proposal Committee, Svetlana Gannushkina , leading radio stations of Echo of Moscow, Tatella Boltyanskaya, lawyer Ramil Akhmetgaliev.
The Prize of the Moscow Helsinki Group is awarded annually for the Day of Human Rights, which is celebrated on December 10. It is established to encourage citizens' initiative in the field of protecting human rights and the development of human rights movement in Russia. The prize is personal in nature and is awarded to one applicant no more than once.
In the nomination "For the Protection of Human Rights by Culture and Art, Yuri Shevchuk, Viktor Shenderovich, Mikhail Ugarov, Vladimir Sinelnikov and Liya Akhedzhakova became the laureates of the prize.
