House arrest for Jankauskas extended until April 17, one-hour walks allowed

The Presnensky District Court of Moscow has extended house arrest to Konstantin Yankauskas, deputy of the Zyuzino municipal district, until April 17. Jankauskas is accused of fraud in the case of financing the election campaign of Alexei Navalny. The court refused to release Jankauskas under a written undertaking not to leave the place or under the guarantee that various municipal deputies and other citizens were ready to give. At the same time, the court allowed the accused to walk for an hour a day at the place of residence, thus satisfying the defense's petition. The prosecution representative did not object to the walks, while the investigator did not.
