In Warsaw, a thousands of protest of the opposition party "Law and Justice" called "in defense of democracy and freedom of speech", whose participants demanded repeated elections to local authorities, was held. This was reported from Warsaw by Radio Liberty correspondent Alexei Dzikavitsky.
“People are afraid to say among themselves that the elections were falsified,” said the leader of the Party “Law and Justice” by Yaroslav Kachins. Falsification, in his opinion, is evidenced by a significant delay in counting the votes that occurred due to the accident of the CEC computer system, and a large number of invalid ballots. At the same time, it is noteworthy that this party won the elections with a slight advantage.
In turn, representatives of the ruling coalition accuse the opposition of attempts to shake state foundations and the use of the date on December 13 - this is the day of the introduction of martial law in Poland in 1981 - for their party purposes.
