The Security Council submitted proposals to Vladimir Putin to normalize the financial situation in the country. This was reported by TASS with reference to the head of the Security Council of Nikolai Patrushev. According to the official, Putin approved the proposals and recommended to send them to the government, the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank. “What we did,” Patrushev said.
The essence of the offers of the Security Council, the official, however, did not reveal. He only noticed that he did not see the need to buy dollars and euros to citizens. “In my opinion, now the euro and the dollar are overestimated,” Patrushev explained. “And some time will pass - and their fall will occur.”
According to paragraph "G" of part 3 of the Regulation on the Security Council of the Russian Federation, one of the tasks of this structure is the preparation of the President of the proposals "On the application of special economic measures in order to ensure national security."
In the morning on Wednesday, the leader of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov demanded urgently to convene a council to discuss the economic situation in the country. “What happened recently with our ruble recalls the 1998 default,” he said.
Meanwhile, Patrushev talked with reporters in Petrozavodsk, where he arrived to participate in a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and conduct of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Karelia. The republic will celebrate this anniversary in 2020.
