At the same time, Zorkin evaded the answer to the question of whether the idea of ​​Russia's exit from the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights is being discussed. “We are lawyers, we resolve non -political issues,” he said. “And this is a matter of expediency, a political decision.”

As previously reported on the website of the Constitutional Court, for the first time the idea of ​​creating the Asian Human Rights Court was expressed at the end of September at the 3rd International Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice held in Seoul. The Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and equivalent bodies made such an initiative.

The idea was also discussed in November, when the Russian Constitutional Court of the Association, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia Hamdan Zulf, visited the Russian KS.
