Putin: Savchenko will judge in Russia

The Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, captured by the LPR terrorists and later transported across the Russian border, will be judged in Russia. This was stated at a large press conference by Vladimir Putin. “According to our law enforcement agencies, Savchenko was a gunner during the murder of journalists,” the Russian leader said. “If it turns out that she is not to blame, she will be released immediately. Or he will serve his sentence according to the court decision.”

Regarding the Ukrainian film director Oleg Sentsov and other Crimean prisoners, Putin said that Russia did not consider them prisoners. “They are suspected of involvement in terrorist activities,” the head of state emphasized.

In October, Savchenko was elected to the Verkhovna Rada from the party "Fatherland". Later, participants in the ruling coalition, which includes the "Batkivshchyna", appointed the pilot the representative of the Rada at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe .
