Johar Tsarnaev appeared before trial for the first time since the summer of 2013

The main accused in the case of a terrorist attack on the finish of the marathon in Boston Johar Tsarnaev on Thursday appeared in this city for the first time since July 2013, when a meeting related to his arrest was held.

The 21-year-old Tsarnaev looked like a gunshot wounds received during the detention, Reuters notes.

District Judge George O'Tull asked Tsarnaev whether he was satisfied with the actions of his lawyers on the eve of the beginning of the process. The defendant gave a short positive answer.

On December 18, the last preliminary hearings were held. The main process should begin on January 5th . The Associated Press reports on protection plans to ask for a delay in the beginning of the main hearings.

As a result of two explosions in Boston in April 2013, three people were killed, over 260 were injured. Johara Tsarnaev, who did not admit guilt at 30 points put forward against him, may threaten the death penalty.

According to the investigations, Tsarnaev carried out a terrorist attack with his older brother Tamerlang, who died in a shootout with the police.
