The Urban Planning and Land Commission of Moscow approved the project of a park with an area of almost 30 hectares, which will be divided on the Khodynsky field.
We are talking about free from the development of the territory limited by the Avia designer Mikoyan and Khodynsky Boulevard (Khodynskoye field, the former Central Airfield named after Frunze), TASS reports. On the runway of the former airfield, a new building of the State Center for Contemporary Art (HCSI), a secondary school, a temple in the name of St. Sergius of Radonezh and socio-business objects will be placed.
Transport services of the territory will be carried out by the Khodynskoye Field station of the third transplant circuit of the Moscow metro.
The decision to approve the planning of the territory of the Khodynsky field will be made by the city authorities after refinement and holding public hearings, the press service of the mayor and the Moscow government said.
An open international competition for the concept of a park on the Khodynsky field in April 2014 won the Italian architectural bureau Land Milano .
Its concept shows all the main connections of the park with covering territories: circular transport movement around the district, public transport stops, pedestrian ties, as well as all types of specialized routes-bicycle, skiing, horse-drawn, GPS tours, etc. In addition, the project includes an amphitheater for theatrical performances, a musical fountain, a luminous meadow and entrances to the subway in the form of ice fragments.
