Theo Fry. Photos

The exhibition of the famous master of reporting photography of Theo Fry is held in St. Petersburg. The exposition is open at the Rosfoto Museum and Exhibition Center until February 15

Photo documentary Theo Fry (1908-1997) takes genre scenes, still lifes and portraits of rural residents of Switzerland in the 30-40s, at the beginning of World War II he becomes a photographer of the Swiss armed forces. The Theo Fry takes off the country when she was still poor - these are boys, planting potatoes, a girl from a tobacco factory, a cleaner of tram tracks ... The author himself is a brilliant “observer of an inconspicuous” who does not like spectacular drama, and, as he himself says, “puts a aesthetic approach at the forefront”.
