The Superjob Research Center Superjob summed up the results of 2014 in the labor market.
By the end of the year, the labor market in Russia came to the state of “anxious stability”. This was expressed primarily in the relatively low activity of applicants and employers, in a stable ratio of supply and demand throughout the year. By the end of the fourth quarter, the salary offers of employers for new employees have grown. So the companies reacted to a decrease in the readiness of valuable specialists to change their place of work against the background of alarming forecasts and assessments of the general economic situation in the mass media.

A decrease in the activity of applicants forced employers to increase salary offers. Superjob salary indices recorded an increase in the level of starting salaries for new employees.

At the same time, the economic situation forces employers more restrained to index salaries. 63% of companies do not plan to index salaries in the near future. Two times less compared to 2013 those who talk about plans for indexation.
More restrained than last year, employers plan premium at the end of the year. About a third of the companies (30%) is planned to pay bonuses, while in more than half the cases it will be selective incentives. A year earlier, 39% of the companies declared their plans for the payment of bonuses.
Forecast for 2015
The decisive months to understand the further development of events in the labor market will be February and March 2015. Perhaps the time of searching for new work and employment will increase on average by 50%, for graduates without work experience is half. The greatest problems will be experienced by graduates of humanitarian specialties.
Demand and supply in the labor market in 2015
Stable, and in some cases, growing demand will be recorded in the following categories of staff:
• qualified production personnel (workers, engineers, technologists);
• specialists of the IT sphere, especially in the Big Data segments, mobile development, Internet security;
• sales managers;
• business analytics, risk managers;
• Top personnel with anti-crisis control experience.
The most vulnerable industries include the following employees:
• banking segment;
• construction areas;
• advertising business;
• tourist segment.
The most popular will be “universal” employees who will be able to combine several related areas, as well as highly qualified specialists of any professions. Companies will have to carry out a significant correction of motivational schemes, develop and implement KPI in medium and small business companies.
