
In Moscow, the owners of the currency mortgage held a rally demanding the restructuring of loans "at a fair course". According to RBC, the action gathered about two thousand people.
The rally was held under the Crimean bridge, in the area of Gorky Park. The action, which began at about 13:00, was attended by activists of the All -Russian Society of Currency Borrowers, as well as representatives of political parties and public associations.
Participants in the action held posters with slogans "The mortgage in the currency drives people into slavery", "we require state support borrowers."
According to the representative of the All -Russian Public Organization of Lana Gora borrowers, the main requirement of the protesters is the ban on mortgage lending in currency. She emphasizes that such practice does not exist anywhere in the world.
The rally participants also demand to create a working group involving borrowers, which will have to develop an acceptable option for a loan restructuring.
On December 17, the head of the Duma financial market, Natalya Burykin, said that the authorities will develop measures to support citizens who pay a mortgage in euros and dollars and suffered from a sharp raising the key rate of the key rate to 17 percent per annum.
Earlier, the State Duma deputy from Fair Russia Andrei Krutov appealed to the Central Bank with a proposal to oblige credit organizations to change the terms of the mortgage issued in foreign currency. At his proposal, all loans should be recalculated at the ruble at the time of the conclusion of the contract.
