Correspondence from the deputy head of the internal policy department of the presidential administration has leaked online

Shaltai-Boltai (Anonymous International) published letters that were allegedly found in the email of the deputy head of the internal policy department of the presidential administration, Timur Prokopenko. The letters are dated 2013-2014.

On November 28, 2013, from a box that belonged to Igor Rudensky (probably State Duma deputy Igor Rudensky), Prokopenko’s mail received a letter in which the sender refuted the information revealed by Alexei Navalny about a village with dachas for high-ranking officials. Prokopenko, in turn, sent a letter to an address that may belong to the chief editor of Ekho Moskvy, Alexei Venediktov. One way or another, after some time this text appeared on the Echo of Moscow website with the signature of Igor Rudensky.

The posted mail contains letters presumably sent to Izvestia journalist Anastasia Kashevarova. One of the letters became the basis for a subsequently published note about the police check of Alexei Navalny’s associate Vladimir Ashurkov. There are also posts in the mail (apparently sent for approval) about Navalny. Timur Prokopenko forwarded one of these posts to pr_volodina@gov.ru. This text was subsequently published in a number of blogs.

Among the letters are reports on the work of pro-Kremlin bloggers, which Shaltai-Boltai previously published and which were attributed to the former press secretary of the pro-Kremlin Nashi movement, Kristina Potupchik. From the same address, a devastating review of Kirill Serebrennikov’s play “Idiots” was sent to Prokopenko’s supposed email address. The text stated that the position of power was not represented in the play.
