Alexey Gaskarov was transferred to a colony

Anti-fascist Alexey Gaskarov, one of the defendants in the “Case of Four,” was transferred to the colony from the Butyrka pre-trial detention center on the morning of December 28. Mediazona reports this with reference to its sources. There is no information yet about which colony Gaskarov will be sent to.

Alexey Gaskarov and Alexander Margolin were sentenced to three and a half years in prison for participating in mass riots that allegedly took place on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, 2012, and using violence against government officials. Ilya Gushchin was sentenced to two and a half years, Elena Kokhtareva - to three years and three months of suspended imprisonment. This verdict was passed on August 18, 2014 by the Zamoskvoretsky Court and was upheld by the Moscow City Court on November 27.
