The liberation of Artem Saveelov

On December 31, Artem Savelov, swamp prisoner, should be freedom. His sentence expires on January 10. According to Part 2 of Article 173 of the Criminal Executive Code, if the sentence ends on a weekend or holiday, the convicted person is released on the election or pre-holiday day.

Savelov was arrested on June 9, 2012. In February of this year, he was sentenced to two years and seven months in prison in a general regime colony. Like most swamps, he is found guilty under the articles “Participation in the riots” and “Application of violence to a representative of power”. According to the prosecution, Savelov "roughly grabbed a police officer by the brush and wrist of his hand, as well as for uniform uniforms." An independent investigation has proved Savelov’s complete innocence.
