On Wednesday morning, the swamp prisoner Artem Savelov was released from colony No. 6 in the village of Stenkino, Ryazan region. According to New Gazeta, the political prisoner was met by relatives, human rights activists and journalists.

Savelov thanked everyone who helped him in prison.

In IK -6, two more swamp prisoners are serving time - Andrei Barabanov and Alexei Polikhovich. “We tried to stay together,” said Savelov.

Savelov expired on January 10. It was released on the pre -holiday day in accordance with the norm of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Savelov became the second "swamp", which served time. In September, Yaroslav Belousov was released.

Savelov was arrested on June 9, 2012. In February of this year, he was sentenced to two years and seven months in prison in a general regime colony. Like most swamps, he was found guilty under the articles “Participation in Massion Riots” and “Application of violence to a representative of power”. According to the prosecution, Savelov "roughly grabbed a police officer by the brush and wrist of his hand, as well as for uniform uniforms." Savelov also charged anti -government slogans, although he suffers from strong stuttering. An independent investigation has proved Savelov’s complete innocence .
