Artem Savelov, one of the convicts in the "Case of Eight", was released from IK-6 in the Ryazan Region. This is reported by Novaya Gazeta. Savelov was sentenced on February 24 to two years and seven months in prison. Since he was taken into custody on June 11, 2012, the date of his official release fell on holidays, therefore, due to the absence of violations, it was decided to release him before the New Year. Savelov is the second to be released on the "Case of Eight": on September 8, Yaroslav Belousov was released. Aleksei Polikhovich (sentenced to three and a half years) and Andrey Barabanov (sentenced to three years and seven months) accused in the same case continue to serve their sentences in the same colony. In other colonies are Stepan Zimin, Denis Lutskevich (both were given three and a half years) and Sergei Krivov (three years and nine months).
