The Ukrainian television channel "Inter", which is threatened by the deprivation of the license, canceled all the shows of festive concerts and musicals, "including its own production," - only two dozen programs canceled all the shows of the festive concerts and musicals. This was reported on the Inter website.
“We understand that such a situation, unfortunately, will damage the viewer, awaiting his favorite programs, since many years of traditions of the New Year celebrate are breaking,” the editorial office said. “We count on the viewer of this situation.”
Such a step in the statement is called "a forced reaction to the hysteria that arose around the channel on January 1, 2015, when provocative baseless accusations in the show of entertainment festive projects fell on the Inter, although they fully comply with the requirements of Ukrainian law." The editorial office assigned the responsibility for this hysteria on "aggressive populists."
Inter also expressed hope for support from other Ukrainian television channels, noting that many of them have recently encountered "unreasonable attacks" addressed to them.
On the night of January 1, Inter showed the New Year’s program of one of the Russian channels, in which the artists who publicly supported Moscow aggression in Ukraine participated. In particular, Joseph Kobzon, Oleg Gazmanov and Valery, who in the summer was prohibited from entering Latvia, performed a song about Latvian sanctions . The Ukrainian singer Ani Lorak participated in the same concert, who at the end of November performed the Golden Gramophone award after the illegitimate head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov. Lorak, like others present in the studio, met a song about Latvian sanctions, with approval.
After that, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Alexander Turchinov, demanded that the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting deprive the License to Inter . Inter, Turchinov said, "became an integral part of the information war, which is waged against his own country."
“On New Year's Eve, when the whole nation felt unity, the Inter TV channel traditionally acted against the Ukrainian state, broadcasting a concert of those people who mocked our country, supporting the terrorists and welcoming the seizure of Crimea and Donbass,” said Turchinov’s statement.
At the end of October, it became known that Ukraine forbade Kobzon to enter the country . Meanwhile, he himself in the same days performed in Donetsk, captured by Russian troops and terrorists.
