North Korea reacted to US sanctions, calling them hostile and useless

The DPRK authorities called the US intention to introduce new sanctions by the manifestation of "avid hostility", the official Central Telegraph Agency of Korea said.

"The policy of unchanging US persecution, aimed at suppressing the DPRK, is likely to incite the unpleasant attitude towards it, and only strengthen its will to determine its sovereignty," the representative of the North Korean Foreign Ministry, which is quoted by Reuters , told the agency

"Unilateral actions taken by the White House against the DPRK are sequentially prove that the United States has not gone far from the avid hostility against the DPRK," the DPRK Foreign Ministry notes.

As the Russian Air Force Service recalls, earlier US President Barack Obama approved the introduction of new sanctions against the DPRK in response to hacker attacks on the American company Sony Pictures. Three companies from the DPRK, as well as 10 officials, were included in the sanctions list.
