The LPR believes that the Ukrainian authorities are ready to leave the separatists occupied by them

The representative of the self -proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) Alexei Karyakin expressed the opinion that Kyiv is ready to "part" with the territories that are under the control of Lugansk separatists.

"Ukraine has already announced that two checkpoints have been operating on the line of contact with the LPR. Border services are already working on them. This suggests that at the moment they are ready to part with the territories controlled by the LPR," the portal reports .

At the same time, he added that the LPR authorities will never abandon the territories that control the Ukrainian military. What is meant by this - power operations with shooting or a peaceful protest for the department from Ukraine - is not specified.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense of the self -proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic announced on January 7 that the Ukrainian security forces during the day at least eight times violated the ceasefire in the Donbass. "The shooting of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from artillery and mortar weapons on the outskirts of Donetsk, adjacent settlements and our positions did not stop today (Wednesday). From 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. we recorded eight cases of shelling. There are no dead and wounded on our part," RIA Novosti reports. According to the DPR headquarters, the security forces violated the truce 10 times.

However, from Kyiv they report shelling in the Donbass by the militias. "In addition to cooling, the Christmas night in the ATO zone also distinguished itself by an increase in the number of night shelling. From 18:15 and 06:00 illegal armed groups fired at the positions of our military 15 times," the military "Interfax" reports. According to journalists, three Ukrainian troops died, one was injured in the Donetsk region over the past day.

Recall that according to the results of the previous round of peace negotiations, the parties exchanged 225 captives of the DPR and LPR for 150 Ukrainian military.

The first meeting of the contact group took place in Minsk on September 5. Representatives of Kyiv, the regions of the southeast of Ukraine, the OSCE and Russia took part in it. Based on the results of the negotiations, a plan for a peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbass was agreed and an agreement on the ceasefire was reached.

On September 20, the contact group in Ukraine adopted in Minsk a memorandum that determines the mechanism of introduction and maintaining the ceasefire. The document included a ban on the use of all types of weapons and the withdrawal from the contact line of 15 km on each side of heavy artillery. Control over the execution of the provisions of the Memorandum was assigned to the OSCE.

Meanwhile, even after the achievement of these agreements, the parties continued mutual shelling. Since December 9, the regime of silence was introduced at the initiative of Kiev, but it is violated.
