Two people died as a result of shooting that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the clinic of the US Department of Veterans in the city of El Paso, Texas. This was announced at the press conference by Major General Stephen Twitti, a representative of the Fort Bliss army base, near which the clinic is located.
Earlier, information was extended that the incident occurred in a military hospital next to the clinic, but Twitti denied these messages, TASS reports.
Without going into the details, he only told that the victims of the incident became the shooting and another person himself. The man who opened the shooting, according to Major General, mortally wounded one person, and then committed suicide.
“The alleged shooter is dead, there is another victim, he died,” he said. From the provision of additional information, the representative of Fort Bliss refrained.
According to local media, one of the dead is the clinic doctor.
