The Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow, when passing the verdict in the case of Yves Rocher, in which Alexei Navalny was sentenced to 3.5 years of probation, was guided by data on the personalities of the defendants, the nature of their acts, the role of each of the defendants in the case in the commission of the crime and the actual circumstances of the case, said the press service of the court.
The court clarified that the criminal code allows the imposition of a suspended sentence on a citizen who has already been sentenced on probation if he is found guilty of crimes of small or medium gravity, as was the case with Alexei Navalny.
For what reasons it was decided to sentence the brother of Alexei Navalny, Oleg, who had no previous convictions, to 3.5 years of real life, the press service of the Zamoskvoretsky court did not specify.
When imposing punishment, the court took into account the actual circumstances of the case, the identity of the defendants, the nature of the acts committed by them, the role of each in the commission of crimes.
