The vice-governor of St. Petersburg Igor Albin recommended to the townspeople who complain about the poor cleaning of the streets with utilities, take shovels themselves and clean the city from snow. He gave such advice in the comments to the record of journalist Pavel Smolyak on Facebook.
“I looked out the window for a long time yesterday. At first, in the afternoon, I walked along the puddles, snow, glided over the ice, almost fell. Then he came home, poured boiling water into a large cup, sat on a chair and began to look out the window. It was snowing. I sat for two hours, simultaneously listening to the series “Web - 7” on the NTV channel. I was waiting for the vice-governor Igor Albin and special equipment cars, ”complained the founder of the Internet portal on the social network, specifying that special equipment did not appear.
In response, the official who oversees the housing and communal services sector in the northern capital suggested that the journalist independently solve the problem.
“Pavel, maybe instead of listening to the next series and the expectations of Manna of Heaven, it was worth inviting friends, taking shovels and putting things in order at least in his yard?” - wrote the official.
According to Albin, “this is also good for health”, and in addition, “indifference and dependency kills a separate person and entire states.” During the New Year holidays, due to long snowfalls and temperature changes, St. Petersburg once again ran into the problem of snowdrifts, ice and icicles. After the snowfall last weekend, the harvesting equipment in the city was increased, the press service of the city committee on landscaping told Interfax. So, on January 11, 888 units of equipment and 953 janitors carried out cleaning of St. Petersburg streets. More than 18.6 thousand cubic meters of snow were taken out per day. As the chief weather forecast of St. Petersburg Alexander Kolesov told the agency on Monday, snowfalls were celebrated throughout almost the entire beginning of January. According to the expert, over the next week, snow in St. Petersburg will still be often.
