Andrei Zvyagintsev’s film “Leviathan” on January 12 received the Golden Globe Award, and a few days later he was nominated for an Oscar. Each new success of the tape at the international level causes another round of discussion - between officials, creators of the picture and spectators who give the film completely opposite assessments. The inhabitants of the village of Teriberk, where Zvyagintsev removed it, also reacted differently to the Leviathan.
Photographer Mikhail Mordasov, on the instructions of Bigpicture, went to the place of filming to understand whether the world of Leviathan was similar to a real teiriber, and brought a photo report from there. He also talked with several inhabitants of the village - the former nurse, who saw a very accurate reflection of reality in the film, and the head of the municipality of Teriberka Tatyana Trubilina. She believes that the film is discharging the village. After publishing a report on Bigpicture, Trubilin demanded to remove a photograph from it in which it is depicted and threatened with the court.
