
On January 15, Avetisyan’s funeral was held in Gyumri, in the west of Armenia: six people were killed by a carrier soldier Valery Permyakov, who fled with weapons from the 102nd Russian military base on the night of January 12. Early in the morning, Permyakov entered the house of Avetisyanov and shot the spouses of Sergei and Asmik, their children Aida and Armen and daughter -in -law Araksu Poghosyan. The two-year-old Asmik Avetisyan Permyakov stabbed a bayonet-knife. Only the six -month Seryozha Avetisyan remained alive, he was hospitalized in intensive care with a gunshot wound and died on January 19. After the detention, Permyakov explained that he wanted to escape to Turkey, Avetisyan family shot his fears that they would give him out. On the evening of January 15, the clashes of local residents with the police began in Gyumri - the protesters demanded the issuance of Permyakov, under arrest at their base, the Armenian authorities. In Yerevan, at the Russian embassy, a protest was held under the slogans "Your" Spirituality "kills our children" and "We do not need such scrapers."
