
Trading currency on the Moscow Exchange opened with weak growth in dollar and euros, but after a few minutes the courses of both currencies sank below the closing level of last Friday trading, RBC reports.
At the peak of the fall, the dollar rate dropped to the mark of 64.546 rubles, which is about 65 kopecks below the closing level of bidding on January 16. At the same time, the euro fell to 74.721 rubles, which is 52 kopecks below the closing level of Friday trading.
By 10:25 Moscow time, the dollar exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange was 64.901 rubles, which is 29.75 kopecks below the level of yesterday's closure, the Euro rate was 75.088 rubles, which is 15.9 kopecks below the closing level of January 16.
Analysts interviewed by the agency associate the strengthening of a ruble with an increase in oil prices.
