Vera Gornostaeva died

On Monday, January 19, a pianist, teacher and public figure, professor of the Moscow Conservatory Vera Gornostaeva died in Moscow at the age of 85.

Vera Vasilievna Gornostaeva was born in 1929 in Moscow, in 1952 she graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, in 1955 - graduate school in the piano class (Heinrich Neigauz), after which the teaching and concert activities immediately began.

In 1955-1959, she taught at the Gnesins Music and Pedagogical Institute, in 1959 she began working at the Department of Special Piano of the Moscow Conservatory, since 1963-an associate professor since 1969, and since 2007-the head of the special piano department.

Among the students of Vera Gornostaeva Eteri Andzaparidze, Pavel Egorov, Sergey Babayan, Dina Ioffe, Valery Silevich, Marat Gubaidullin, Vadim Ageev, Semen Kruchin, Alexander Paley, Alexander Yermolaev, Irina Chukovskaya, Vadim Kholodenko, Karen Kornienko, Andrey Gugnin, Ivo Plororevich, Elena Tatulyan.
