According to his supporters on the blog of environmental activist Yevgeny Vitishko, the authorities of the Tambov colony-settlement No. 2, where Vitishko is being held, delayed the letters of the eco-prisoner:
“Today, with the help of the prosecutor, it turned out that the letters sent to the court and the prosecutor's office by Vitishko a month ago are still in the colony. For some reason, the political officer hides them and sends them only in the presence of the prosecutor. Is this some kind of new norm for working with official letters from convicts?
But today it was not possible to find out where the applications to the Supreme and Tuapse courts are located ... ”the activists wrote.
Yevgeny Vitishko was given a suspended three-year prison sentence for having, together with fellow activist Suren Ghazaryan, put inscriptions on the fence of a camp site illegally built in a nature protection zone. Ecologists claimed that the governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Tkachev, built a dacha on the territory of the base.
Later, Vitishko's sentence regime was changed to a real one.
