A criminal case has been opened against Mark Galperin

A second case was initiated under Art. 212.1 of the Criminal Code - “Repeated violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting, meeting, demonstration, procession or picketing.” The case has been filed against Mark Galperin, who is currently in special detention center No. 2, where he is serving a 38-day sentence. As his public defender Alla Frolova said, Mark Galperin was taken to the Investigation Department for the Central Administrative District of Moscow, and before being allowed inside, they kept him in the car for six hours in slippers, as a result of which his temperature rose. Galperin refused the services of a state lawyer and did not answer investigators’ questions, citing Art. 51 of the Constitution. However, the state lawyer was present in the office and signed the papers.

OVD-Infosome Previously, a case under the same article, introduced into the Criminal Code in July 2014, was brought against Vladimir Ionov - in January, he and Galperin were detained during single pickets under the slogan “Je suis Charlie” on January 10 and at a gathering on the 15 January (for these two actions Galperin was placed in a special detention center for 38 days).
