Rostov journalist Sergei Reznik sentenced to three years in prison

The Leninsky Court of Rostov-on-Don sentenced journalist Sergei Reznik to three years in prison, thereby satisfying the demands of the prosecution. According to the "Caucasian Knot", the court also banned Reznik from working in the media for two years. Reznik was accused of falsely denouncing and insulting government officials in a LiveJournal publication. The journalist completely denied his guilt. Currently, Reznik is already serving time in the first case. He was sentenced to one and a half years in prison on charges of commercial bribery, false denunciation and insulting a government official. The Memorial Human Rights Center recognized him as a political prisoner.
