The Tverskoy court fined another person detained on December 30 at Manezhnaya Square, Alexander Shcherbakov, who was taken to the Meshchansky police station and, like many others that day, was charged with disobeying the lawful demands of police officers. As lawyer Maxim Krupsky, who represented him in court, writes on Facebook, “the petitions to summon the police officer who compiled the report as a witness, as well as the representative of the prosecution, were literally ignored by the court - the ruling on them was not announced at the court session. The same fate befell the other stated petitions. However, the court granted the motion to interrogate one of the defense witnesses.” Shcherbakov was accused according to the standard wording used for the majority of detainees - “obstructed the performance of his official duties, resisted the detention of his official duties, resisted the detention, interfered with the detention; did not respond to demands to leave the cordon zone, refused to obey the demands of the police officer, continued to break through the cordon.” As Krupsky noted, “Police witnesses eavesdrop on the process of interrogation of their colleagues under the door of the courtroom, probably in order to ensure ‘consistency and consistency’ of testimony when it comes to them.”
Today, Yury Yevtushenko, who was detained on December 30 and taken to the Presnensky police department, was also sentenced to a fine of a thousand rubles. As his lawyer Daniil Lipin told OVD-Info, the police officers at the meeting were very confused in their testimony (one even said that the arrest took place on Bolotnaya Square). According to him, “the judge herself, in fact, pulled out testimony from them, while being interested in information that could be qualified as part of Art. 20.2 (participation in an unauthorized public event), but the “employees” did not give clear and affirmative answers to such questions from the court.” Despite the fact that Yevtushenko was charged under Article 19.3, the judge, according to Lipin, was actively interested in the content of Article 20.2.
