In the anti -crisis program, which is now being discussed by the Russian government, structural reforms should take the first place. This was stated by ex-Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin, speaking at the business breakfast of Sberbank as part of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Interfax reports.
“Why are we not discussing key structural reforms today? We say that they are needed, but we are not moving further, ”he said.
First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov, commenting on Kudrin’s performance, noted that “a subpoena on structural transformations is a separate agenda,” which exists, but needs reformatting.
“This is not an anti -crisis plan, this is a slightly different thing. This is a plan how to adapt to Russia to ordinary citizens and entrepreneurs in completely new realities, when there are no such high incomes, such a high oil price, ”said Shuvalov.
The day before, Kudrin said that the food embargo, which the Russian government led against a number of countries, is unproductive. As the former minister noted, since the course itself, the devaluation created the barrier, the import has become more expensive, then all other barriers need to be removed, including cancel the embargo.
