UAZ plans not to reduce staff

There will be no reduction in personnel at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, the company was provided with orders for the entire I quarter of this year, TASS PR manager UAZ and Ssangyong Sollers said Ekaterina Dudykina.

"Thanks to the orders of corporate customers and the announced continuation of the fleet renewal program, the car factory has a stable production load. In the first quarter of 2015, the company will manufacture 11 thousand cars," she said.

Dudykina also noted that the company is actively involved in developing measures of support for the Russian automobile market, which will ensure stable demand for UAZ products throughout the year.

According to her, in January, as part of the modernization of the production site, about twenty investment projects are being implemented at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant.

In particular, the reconstruction of the production capacities of Patriot body welding is carried out, as well as the assembly section of cars, where the floor conveyor is debugged and testing in automatic mode. Another key project involved in the framework of modernization is the introduction of a new finish -colored body technology.

Dudykina added that modernization will optimize the costs of the car factory and improve the quality of products. In addition, in order to reduce production logistics in production, the modernization of existing warehouse capacities continues. As a result, the production territory of the enterprise will decrease from 312 hectares to 50 hectares. "This area will be enough to produce more than 100 thousand cars in two shifts, all production and warehouse capacities will be more compact, and part of the territory will be leased to companies independent of production," she said.

The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant specializes in the production of all -wheel drive cars and commercial cars, as well as minibuses. The production capacity of the plant is 105 thousand cars per year. Since 2000, the company has been part of the Sollers Automobile Concern.
