Leviathan and Patriarch

In January, with a difference of a week, two events occurred - it would seem, outwardly not related. At first, the American film academy nominated for Andrei Zvyagintsev’s film “Leviathan” for the Oscar Award, and seven days later, Patriarch Kirill, for the first time in the recent history of Russia, came to the Federal Assembly with a message about the political and moral situation in society.

The success of Leviathan is perceived by ultra -conservatives negatively. Reproaches rained down - these are all chernukha and fiction. Undoubtedly, Zvyagintsev had to invent a lot. But the more he invented, the more his story was like the truth. The success of Leviathan shows that foreigners recognized the Russians in the film, and the recognized turned out to be so understandable, so relevant that the film was recognized. But in this dialectic of recognition, the little town remains: will the Russians recognize themselves?

But not at the expense of taxpayers,” the patriarch explained to doubt. And it does not matter that the child is not yet; It does not matter that deprivation of insurance is a blow to the poorest layers of our society.

The number of persons insured in the compulsory medical insurance system, by April 1, 2014 amounted to 143.8 million people (including 60 million workers and 83.8 million non -working citizens). It is clear that not all non-working women are in childbearing age, but you need to understand something else: we are talking about many millions of women in the risk zone-these are women housewives, or those who have lost their jobs, either young girls or children, because most of them will still survive, and this also applies to those who make little money. All these categories of citizens are most poorly protected and depend on state support. It is hardly possible to question the thesis that an attempt to force to give birth, if there is no livelihood, will only increase the number of children in orphanages.

Surrogate motherhood, according to the patriarch, turns a woman and a child into a product. And it doesn’t matter that she cannot give birth-let him take an orphan. But surrogate motherhood does not exist because a child simply needs, but because a woman wants her child, but cannot become pregnant for medical or other reasons. Undoubtedly, the fact that the woman who carried out the child did this is a tragedy. But she did this in order not to die; The life she lives, and the country's economy put it in such conditions that this work was most acceptable to her. Maybe in order to avoid this, you need not to create a black market for surrogate motherhood, but to conduct normal economic reforms, get off the "oil needle", seriously improve the quality of medicine and do everything possible to solve the problem?

The Patriarch wanted to appeal to the deputies: "Political parties should not compete in the sense of contrasting various values - for example, freedom and justice, power and dignity, but in the sense of their harmonization, simultaneous implementation, their implementation in political actions and legislative acts. Here is a field for political pluralism. The current composition of the State Duma practically embodies what I have said now." If you translate the words of Cyril into the normal language, they mean: there is no one nicer you! And even if you got here in violation of elected legislation, and someone did not hit and the will of the people was not taken into account-this is still good! The flock turned out to be hierarchized: there are good and bad, rich and poor, the authorities who are in power. Everyone deserves - there is no love, everyone deserves the attitude that he deserves.

The performance of Patriarch Kirill in the Federal Assembly is the best illustration for the film by Andrei Zvyagintsev, one of the many explanations why we should recognize ourselves. The point is not even that we are on the verge of war, but the economy is the way to the "great depression". The fact is that it was possible to come out and say only ten words - but to say them honestly: "People, change your mind! What are you doing? Stop thinking only about yourself!"
