Activist PARNAS is being searched in Chuvashia

PARNAS activist in Chuvashia Dmitry Semenov is being searched. As PARNAS activist Ilya Yashin writes on Twitter, Semenov is accused of extremism. Member of the Public Monitoring Commission of Chuvashia Alexey Glukhov reports on Twitter that Semenov is being taken to Tsivilsk to conduct a search in his parents’ apartment, after which he will be interrogated and choose a preventive measure (at first the search was carried out in a rented apartment in Cheboksary). According to Glukhov, Semenov is accused under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred and enmity).

Later, Mediazona, according to Glukhov, reported that Semenov was accused of calling for extremist activities on the Internet (Article 280 of the Criminal Code).

Semenov had already been prosecuted for extremism earlier, in May 2014, but within the framework of administrative legislation: he was accused of publishing on a page on the social network VKontakte a photograph of the “people's governor” of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic Pavel Gubarev in a uniform with an identification sign banned organization "Russian National Unity". Semenov was then fined one thousand rubles.
