
Investors in American oil and gas companies have lost $ 393 billion since raw materials went down, reports Bloomberg .
The prices of the reference American oil brand WTI fell from $ 105 per barrel in mid-2014 to about $ 45 by the end of January 2015. Since then, the shares of 76 oil reconnaissance and mining companies from the corresponding Bloomberg index have lost $ 353 billion. In addition, $ 40 billion from their cost have lost high -profit energy bonds of companies engaged in the drilling of shale deposits.
Over the past five years, $ 1.4 trillion has been invested in the industry, despite the fact that the average oil price was $ 91 per barrel. As a result of financial injections, oil production in the country has grown to a maximum over 30 years, the agency notes.
