Protests against the right party took place in Vienna

In Vienna on Saturday evening, clashes occurred during a demonstration, whose participants protested against the Austrian Party of Freedom of the annual ball in the Hofburg Palace. According to the police, at least two people were injured, including a law enforcement officer, 38 protesters were detained. About five thousand people participated in the action.

Some manifestants tried to break through the fences established by the police and threw firecrackers.

The demonstrators accused the Freedom Party of the propaganda of Xenophobia and said that among those present at the event there are supporters of neo -Nazism and extremists, both local and foreign. The organizers of the ball rejected these statements.
