All suburban trains have been canceled in the Pskov region

The suburban railway message in the territory of the Pskov region has been completely canceled from February 1. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of OJSC North-Western suburban passenger company. 74 percent of the shares of the company belongs to Russian Railways, 26 - the administration of St. Petersburg

The administration of the Pskov region reported that the authorities refused to pay for the services of the North-Western suburban passenger company, since their cost was designed "according to the opaque scheme." The company requires the complete compensation of its losses, the size of which is constantly growing and, in addition, are not disclosed, emphasize the per administration.

In the region, 10 trains in the areas of: Novosokolniki-Den, Pskov-Don-Ozhezhezh. The calculated losses of the carrier while maintaining all routes exceed 300 million rubles. In this regard, by the decision of the regional authorities in 2015, the railway suburban passenger message will be replaced by bus routes. When drawing up a transport scheme, the administration worked out all the "bear corners", Igor Silchenkov assured the chairman of the State Committee of the Pskov Region for Transport and Communications. He is emphasized that "transport communication will be wherever the train had to go."

"The conditions in which the subjects and suburban companies are unrealistic for fulfillment. The railway workers have great expenses, and we cannot compensate for them. Of course, there are many concerns, people are accustomed to railway transport, in many cases it is more comfortable," Silchenkov said.

In January, for the same reasons, a suburban message was completely canceled in the Vologda region. There, passenger railway transportation was also replaced by bus routes. In the Novgorod region, part of the routes of trains was reduced. A difficult situation has developed in the Trans -Baikal Territory.

Since 2011, the difference between the agreed value of tickets for the population and the real costs of railway workers must reimburse the subjects of the federation from the local budget. Meanwhile, some of the regions, even taking into account compensation, does not fully reimburse suburban companies with the cost of their services, referring to the opacity of the structure of expenses of Russian Railways, which does not allow to objectively assess the size of falling income.

On July 1, 2012, more than 300 suburban trains have already been canceled in the regions, in particular, in the Kurgan, Chelyabinsk, Amur, Novgorod, Pskov and Belgorod regions.

In 2014, in the regions of Russia , a significant reduction in the number of suburban trains of suburban messages occurred again. Russian Railways estimated the necessary compensation in 2014 at the level of 17 billion rubles. In the draft regional budgets for these purposes, about 7.6 billion rubles were laid.
