The senior investigator in the particularly important cases of the FSB for Chuvashia, Major of Justice, A. Mukhin, presented to the activist of the regional branch of the RPR-Parnas Dmitry Semenov the charge under part 1 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremism). It is reported by Open Russia. Semenov threatens up to four years in the colony. The activist is defended by the Nizhny Novgorod lawyer Yevgeny Gubin.

According to the publication, initially Mukhin wanted to take a non -disclosure subscription from Semenov, but after the intervention, Gubin abandoned this idea.

The activist refused to testify. “At the moment, a psychological -linguistic examination should undergo my repost,” he explained to the SKS.ru portal. “It can go for a month or two, and therefore we decided that the results will not yet know, not to give any testimony.”

The reason for the initiation of the case was the publication by Semenov on the personal page of VKontakte images of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in the Caucasian papaha with the signature of the Death of the Russian Gadin. The image was placed in March 2014, in the context of the annexation of Crimea.

“When all the events in Ukraine began, our media loved to say that we are protecting the Russian -speaking population,”Semenov commented on this post to the “facets.” “But we forget about the Russians in Turkmenistan and the North Caucasus republics. The Russian authorities are dusting - this is dust in the eyes.”

The FSB saw in the publication of Semenov a call to kill Russians. In the case, one examination in Chuvashia has already passed. A new study is scheduled in Nizhny Novgorod.

On Thursday morning, the FSB conducted searches of the house at Semenov in Cheboksary and his parents in the nearby district center of Tsivilsk. The security forces seized the iPad and the activist laptop.

In May 2014, the court in Cheboksary fined Semenov for 1000 rubles under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (public demonstration of Nazi attributes) for the repost in VKontakte of photographs of the People’s Governor of the Donetsk region of Pavel Gubarev in the form of RNE, the emblem of which is a kind of swastika. The police came home to the activist at about 6 in the morning and forcibly brought him to court.
