The eastern microdistrict of Mariupol - here live mainly workers of the metallurgical plant. Ilyich - We are traveling with the local volunteer Edward, in the city he has a private urological office. Eduard says that the last shelling was that night-they shot from the Grads at the block depot at the outskirts of the district, but it did not reach residential quarters.
We go to a small shop - on the ground floor of the injured nine -story building. The shop works, for a cashier woman about 40 years old in a suit.
- Will you ask who shot? I don’t know I don’t want to know, ”the woman snapped.
“We wanted to know if help is needed,” Eduard says.
“Ty,” the woman was briefly surprised. -And what, someone is going to help us? Let them stop shooting better, nothing else needs!
The woman for the cash register is the name of Angela, as it turned out, she is the mistress of the shop - it works instead of sellers who refuse to go to East.
“Who are they?”
- Yes, I know? They are all! Who shot at us - these are here!
- Are you talking about Dnrovites or the Ukrainian military?
- Yes, I don't care who! Let the world return to us and everyone will leave.
“Do you care who shoots at you?” Eduard could not stand it.
- Do you offer me sho? - said Angela. - I am a person at all outside politics, I am not interested in anything, if only the world was and the store has me! Let everyone leave, and these military ones are from the city! Why are the military in the city, tell me? We arrived from everywhere ...
“That 's they say so now,” Edward told me when we went out into the street. - They are afraid simply. And as the DPR becomes a little closer, they will immediately get out. Fucked cotton wool! ” Somewhere not very far from the eastern side, gaps from the fallen mines were heard. Then more and more. But neither Eduard nor others on the street even paid attention.
“But people are very offensive to hear this to themselves,” I say.
“Yes, they don’t even understand what this means!” This is all my city, I accept everyone here: from the locksmith to the director of the plant, I know them all, as flaky. People do not know how to think, this is a damned scoop, and at least you kill them to explain and tell them about another life-this Mariupol only understands power.
In the 9th day after shelling, the Vostochny microdistrict is cleaned and washed. In places - piles with chopped slate and stone. In the pale walls of high -rise buildings here and there - fresh spots from recently flooded concrete, in the windows new double -glazed windows, lights are on, voices are heard. But in many panels, holes gap with a diameter with a diameter of half a meter, cropped reinforcement sticks out from there, and you can also see pieces of furniture, glass, twisted pieces of iron. There is no one in these apartments.
Volunteers from all over Ukraine gathered in Mariupol. Apart from the food and warm things, they handed out the film (in many houses, glass flew out of the explosive wave), recorded windows, repair walls, etc. Those who were not injured - returned to their homes almost immediately.
To the varter of Valera - a three -year -old on May 9, 5V - was smashed with a direct hit. The rocket flew from the east. In the wall of the living room - a hole, interior partitions are demolished. Only a distant bedroom survived, where at the time of the shelling there were Valerina daughter and her boyfriend. Volunteers and journalists also arrived to visit Valera. On the ruins of the apartment, he walks in a shapeless old leather jacket. It smells a little fumes. Holes and windows are filled with a film. Valerins are lying around, immediately a chair, tied up by him again. Valera asks us when they come to insert plastic double -glazed windows and what is there with compensation for damage.
“They promised to promise,” says Valera. - And already the second week is coming.
- And what about your children? Do they need something?
“Well, the children are in order,” Valera pulls. - The son -in -law is a guy in general well done. When I heard the first gaps, he immediately threw Svetka on the floor and closed himself. She didn’t even scratch, and his back cut his back a little glass, his legs, well, the ass is there ... Well, the apartment, you yourself see in what condition. I gave her all my life!
“They will help you, don’t worry,” the volunteers reassured him.
The famous Ukrainian journalist Andrei Kulikov, goodbye, quietly handed Valera a bundle with money. “Hold on, just hold on,” said Andrei. The colleagues left, and we lingered a little more in the apartment. Valera showed a broken bath and a washing machine, a refrigerator broken by an explosive wave: “I can’t understand how it hooked it.” Finally, Valera stopped and said quietly:
- Dill are monitors, all because they are.
- In terms of?
- Well, they shot it here! I saw it myself! From Sopino, the red fire balls flew like that!
- So to Sopino 4 kilometers, for Grad it is too small! Eduard intervened again.
- Yes, I saw it myself, I say! You see, there are few blood, they kill people, they create genocide.
- What then do you say about the Dnrovites?
- What to say about them? I do not care like, ”said Valera. - We want to live as we lived, and they put war on us.
- If the city is recruiting the DPR, what will you do?
“I don’t even know,” Valera embarrassed. - Well, if only without casualties, then we will accept, probably, there are already them. I don't care, the main thing is that stability is returned.
“Today the Drama Theater will have a rally for nine days,” I said to Valera. - Will you go?
- I don’t even know, I never went ... But what has passed for nine days already?
“So show a civic position,” Edik said.
- What? - asked Valera.
When we leave the entrance and get into the car, Edik again furiously and for a long time. Then, having calmed down a little, he says: "Yes, this will not come anywhere and never ... complete despair."
One destroyed apartment is the second floor on the Olympic, 163. Family pair of Sklyarov, Natasha and Glory, and the garbage is scooped up. The head part of the Grad pierced the wall, then fraught with fragments of a large room where the 14-year-old son of Natasha was sleeping. By some miracle, the fragments flew into the upper part of the room, almost not touching the child.
“So far, only hearing loss has been put to him, but maybe they will give a concurry,” says Natasha. -Put in the ENT department. He does not hear on his left ear.
On the red eyes of Natasha, tears appear. She covers her face with her palms.
“They lived as they lived, they didn’t ask anyone, they didn’t touch anyone,” he cries. - Why war? We are ordinary people.
In the next room, her husband Glory will swim in a pile of belongings. He tells how late for the distribution of humanitarian aid.
- While we went to the hospital as our son, here everything was analyzed! Even the dust did not have time to lie down, and half a city was already standing in line for the film. Already from the Primorsky district were traveling! - says Glory. - How so? Who really suffered, they were not up to this in the first days. And these are all parasites?
“Here in the spring we will see how the people of the greenhouse have a new film,” says Natasha.
- Everywhere they say that we are the first in line, we are still waiting.
“We are simple people, simple,” Natasha repeats. - Why are they tormented by us?
- Who torments? - I ask.
“Yes, hto, Obama why climbs to us,” Natasha said. “And this Merkel is still.” What do they need here?
- So they are to blame?
- How do I know, you ask me like this! .. Well, who else? There is no strength when it all ends, Lord?
Natasha and Glory to be photographed at first: "Well, not combed, and such a mess." But in the end, they still stand against the background of the twisted insides of the apartment.
“Maybe the help will somehow accelerate,” Slava says in the end.
I must say, they accept us in the eastern hospitably. Although in other areas of Mariupol and the rest of the cities, journalists look more with anxiety.
Here, in the Eastern, in almost every house, they are sure that the appearance of the press is somehow connected with the distribution of material assistance. Therefore, the locals said - not folding, stammered, with apprehension. Both volunteers and we, journalists, felt that these people would never communicate in other circumstances. They were embarrassed.
The shelling of the microdistrict took 31 life. On Kuzbassskaya Street - here the private sector - the “hail” killed the whole Bobyv family - a family couple with two children. They just left the house - to work and to school, when a shell flew under their feet. The family died right away. The funnel on the road has already been covered with utilities, but traces of fragments are visible - at the chest level - in the sparkled metal fence. The only ones who remained was grandfather Anatoly Yanvarievich, 75 years old, and the dog is the alpha sheepskin, who were in the garden on the other side of the house.
Anatoly Yanvarievich silently sits on a stool in a dusty kitchen. The knocked out windows are flooded with the same film. In the corner - a bunch of estimated garbage. The shepherd rushes as scalp along the aviary on the street and does not stop barking.
“The girl is poor, she’s only a year old,” says an elderly man and adds for some reason. “She's not to blame for anything.”
- How can we help? - asks the local volunteer Eugene. - Maybe windows, repair, medicine?
“Yes, here are the windows, maybe put,” says the old man. - And then the cold.
We go out into the street. Anatoly Yanvarievich shows what windows knocked out and says that he himself will not be able to replace. Behind the gate, he suddenly stops, looking at the metal fence.
- When I ran out into the street, my son, so half -sit, leaned toward the wall. Here the daughter -in -law lies, and there are children, - the old man cried. - I did not understand right away, screamed, and they lie down, all the little ones are like that. They left us alone with an alpha. Why left?!
Alpha was still howling in the aviary. I went inside - calm down, but when I held out my hand, the dog pressed her ears and rushed behind the barn.
200 people gathered for a rally of memory in the center of half a million Mariupol. Together with volunteers and police-300 people. People brought candles, someone stood with flags, someone with icons. Politicians and activists made speeches, talked about war and victory. The performance of the mayor Yuri Khotlubey (six months ago he walked with the St. George ribbon, and when the army entered the city, he became a patriot of Ukraine) was a whistle.
- Dear Mariupol residents, tragedy rallied us!
- Ganba! - shouted to the mayor. - Ganba!
- Russian propaganda will be grateful to you, you give her a reason! - defended himself as Hotlusa.
- You went ...
People at the rally drank coffee from paper cups. Someone hummed the anthem. In the center of the crowd, I saw the same Valera from the street on May 9. With curiosity, he read, moving his lips, some kind of leaflet. Still came.
