Zinovy ​​Birtman. "Traces from compote"

In February 2015, enthusiasts from the Heritage Society release the album “Traces of compote”, consisting of the songs of the mysterious Zinovy ​​Arkadievich Birtman (1934-1981) - a poet, musician and writer, who was called “Tyumen Vysotsky” and “Dovlatov from Siberia”. Thus considered a lost entry, which formed the basis of this album, was made in Tyumen in 1979 with the musicians of the orchestra of the local restaurant "Rus":

In the winter of 2010, I was visiting friends in Verkhnyaya Pyshma near Yekaterinburg. In the process of a feast, Vitaly turned on an old two -cassette. Then I first heard the songs “Selfie” and “Love and Ice” with then the phrase “ I Ce Bucket Challenge” to me then. Songs immediately fascinated me. So I first learned about Zinovia Birtman. He loved his songs, began to collect them.

Friends of enthusiasts from other cities connected to me. Years of painstaking work, trips to Tyumen, meetings, questioning, long sincere conversations ... And finally, in 2012, luck smiled at us. The collector from Tyumen, now, unfortunately, the deceased, Valentin Iosifovich J. handed us three coils as a gift, which collected almost all the Zinovy ​​Birtman's records. By bit, at the Tyumen old -timers, it was possible to find records of three more songs. It was also possible to find two notebooks of poems, but so far it is not possible to establish for certain whether they all belong to Per Zinovy ​​Arkadyevich.

Shortly before his untimely death, Valentin J. handed us the manuscripts of several stories of Birtman. “I see you are a good guy, albeit a Jew,” J. told me, already chained to bed, “take these papers, you need them.” After a few seconds, Valentin Iosifovich closed his eyes forever ...

So, with great difficulty, we managed to collect the most complete collection of Birtman's works. The rest seems to be lost forever.

Then in St. Petersburg the main work began on the restoration of the material. A whole state of like -minded people under the leadership of Yegor Zapel worked on the restoration of the musical heritage of Zinovy ​​Arkadyevich. Paint, sometimes grueling work lasted about two years. We managed to attract the best musicians, arrangers, sound engineers. Part of the musical material had to be practically recorded. In the work on the songs, we were literally shocked by Bortman's poetry, she scared her relevance! The author’s works found a fantastic similarity of images with modern realities.

We can say that we managed to collect a full -fledged album. In February of this year, thirty -four years after the death of Birtman, an official album with his songs comes out. It is almost impossible to convey the feelings overwhelming us ...
