The first deputy prosecutor of the Central Administrative District of Moscow, Semyon Berezikov, approved the indictment in the case filed against the former lawyer of the former head of the GUEBiK Ministry of Internal Affairs Denis Sugrobov, Georgy Antonov. According to investigators, he divulged data from the preliminary investigation. According to the First Anti-Corruption Media, the case against Antonov was initiated under Article 310 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (disclosure of preliminary investigation data). According to investigators, the secret information was announced by Antonov during a press conference on the GUEBiPK case entitled “Secrets of the Russian cash market,” which took place on April 24 last year. Investigators believe that in his speech the lawyer voiced information about the progress of the results of the investigative actions taken in the case of the leadership of the anti-corruption department. “Including Antonov, he provided information that before his arrest, employees of the GUEBiPK began to develop an active employee of the Internal Security Service of the FSB of Russia, that the Internal Security Service of the FSB acted in the criminal case as a victim, since she had suffered grave moral suffering,” says the indictment, the text of which publications are available. In addition to Antonov, two other lawyers of the defendants in the case spoke at the event, but they were not charged with disclosing secrets. Last summer, searches were carried out in Antonov’s apartments, during which investigators seized a computer, electronic media and documents related to the GUEBiPK case. The lawyer himself calls this case revenge for defending Sugrobov. “The defense attorney is not a party to the prosecution and, accordingly, does not carry out a preliminary investigation. The investigator did not give me any materials from the case that were outside the defense and, accordingly, I could not disclose anything like that,” he says.
