On the eve of the Moscow Cultural Center "Pokrovsky Gate" a holiday was held, dedicated to the birth of the new book publishing house "Orthodoxy and the world". Gifts, book lottery and treats were met by guests by the editor -in -chief of the Orthodoxy and Peace portal Anna Danilova and the editor -in -chief of the DAR publishing house Georgy Gupalo, who supported the publishing program of the newborn publishing house.
According to Anna Danilova, the idea of publishing “paper” books based on a series of publications on the Pravmir portal was born when it turned out that the Internet format did not satisfy many readers, that some of them collect materials, print them into folders - “such a kind of samizhzdat of the 21st century”. It was decided to collect those texts from the Pravmir in books that can help people with something: not just give information or new knowledge, to present different opinions (there is enough Internet format for this), namely, to help live some situation, possibly find a way out of the impasse or comprehend life in a new way. ”
The first four books of the new publishing house were compiled in this way - on the basis of the texts of one author or different authors published on Pravmir, but united by a common topic. This is a unique collection U> “From death to life. How to overcome the fear of death” (Author-compiled Anna Danilova). For the first time, the publications of modern authors are collected under one cover, reflecting on death from a Christian point of view-famous theologians, priests, doctors, volunteers and philanthropists, the Blagovers-info reports.
Among the first books of the publishing house are three copyright collections: a psychologist, teacher and many children's mother, Ekaterina Burmistrova , “School for parents: raising children from 0 to 4 years old” and psychologist Olga Gumanova “Female Loneliness: How to get out of it” , as well as a collection of works of the recently left Christian philosopher, chief editor of Alfa and Omega, Marina Zhurinskaya. These books of Pravmir are easily recognized by the bright covers that designer and Calligraph Alexei Chekal performed in a single original style. In addition, Anna Danilova promised that the publishing house would publish books and new authors. “All our books will not be gloomy, but will be bright and joyful. We hope for mutual understanding and joyful contact with the reader,” said Danilova. She drew attention to the slogan of the publisher - "under the sail of faith."
Konstantin Chechenev, an employee of the Metropolitan Anthony, Anthonian, employee of the Anthonian SSROZH, icon painter Pavel Busalayev, Bibleist and Publicist Andrei Desnitsky, who represented the Eksmo, Radonezh and Nikita Publishing House, Nastya and Nikita and others, came to congratulate the new publisher.
“The fact that the new publishing house opens at a time when many are closing is a sign of hope,” said Jean -Franesu Tiri, director of the Pokrovsky Gate CC. “The fact that Pravmir begins to work with the Dar publishing house,“ this is an important example for us: only together we can get out of difficulties. ”
